So Long, Farewell

Today is one of THOSE days here at Silver Spoon. We're saying farewell to our very dear friend, Amber. If you've ever called us with an order or a shipping/ business question you were probably helped by Amber herself, the sweetest gal on the block. She is now off on the adventure of a lifetime to work on an organic farm in Hawaii! (Amber, you'll be sending us some delicious coffee... right?!)

It's not ALL bad though. We're over the moon excited to now have Samantha joining our little family! She and Amber have been friends since childhood... so we're pretty sure we like her already;) She's been working hard to learn everything that Amber could teach her the past few weeks and now she's ready to fly solo!

So, it's a time for changes. We're excited to see where these new paths take us all.

Here's to transition.

Accessories the Show- NY

Whew! We've just finished the first of a few new adventures for Silver Spoon. Jen just finished up at the wholesale show "Accessories the Show" in NY which was a new one for us. 

Thanks to everyone who came by to see us. We really enjoyed the show!

The Perfect Gift

As you know, we love to hear the heart warming stories of how our jewelry connects with you and your loved ones. This Christmas season, we had an interesting customer story come up and would love to share it with you. 

A wooden spoon maker from Florida stumbled across our jewelry and instantly knew that one of our heart pins would make a great gift for his wife. He explains, 

"When my daughter was born in 1996, I began attaching an 'angel' pin to her stocking each year. When my wife and I married 8 years ago, I began the same tradition with her... except instead of angel pins, I don her stocking with 'heart' pins. In some years the hearts have a particular significance.

For instance, the pottery heart of New Hampshire was made by a NH artist [and serves as] a reminder that we spent that summer on Lake Winnipesaukee. The house heart pin was added the year we bought our home together and the one with the stars and stripes commemorates the year she became a US citizen.
